Tombstone Film Festival cover illustration

Tombstone Film Festival illustration

The program cover design for Tombstone Film Festival was possibly the most complex vector drawing I’ve done.

It started, like most, as a pencil illustration which became the basis for several days of intense vector drawing work. My inspiration was the style of Alfonse Mucha, a European artist of the late 1800′s. There are no photographs involved.

In addition to the cover artwork, I produced the book in that I handled page layout, advertising, illustration and print management.  I partnered with a writer/editor for content.

You don’t have to be crazy to produce this sort of work but it might help…
