Pencil illustration of a Guitar Player

Guitar Player illustration

Where does the role of illustrator/graphic designer end, and that of “fine artist” begin?  I don’t know, but it’s all part of life for me.

Recently, I photographed my son, Clement, playing my guitar.  I then developed the pencil drawing shown.

We’re both portrait artists. Clement works primarily in oils, while I work in graphite.

For what it’s worth, he and I showed about 30 examples of our work in “Family Style,” a father and son art show hosted by Cochise College here in Benson, throughout September.
